What is a health and wellness coach?

A health and wellness coach is a trained professional who supports you in creating sustainable, positive changes in your health and overall well-being. Coaching focuses on helping you clarify your goals, build healthier habits, and move forward in a way that feels realistic and supportive for your life.

Rather than telling you what to do, a coach partners with you to uncover what works best for you.

Health and wellness coaching can help you gain clarity, motivation, and confidence as you work toward your personal health goals. Coaching often supports areas such as stress management, lifestyle balance, nutrition habits, movement, mindset, and overall well-being.

Together, we focus on small, meaningful steps that fit into your real life, helping you create lasting change instead of quick fixes.

The National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) sets national standards for the training and practice of health and wellness coaches. It ensures that coaches meet established education, ethics, and competency guidelines.

Leah is trained through an NBHWC-approved program, which reflects a commitment to professional standards and client-centered coaching.

The Free Discovery Session is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other, talk about what you’re looking for, and explore whether coaching feels like a good fit for you.

We’ll discuss your goals, answer any questions you have, and outline what working together could look like. There is no obligation to continue after the session.

Most clients meet with Leah on a regular schedule, often weekly or bi-weekly, depending on their needs and goals. Sessions typically last about 30-45 minutes.

Your schedule is personalized, and we’ll decide together what frequency feels supportive and sustainable for you.

Coaching sessions are offered remotely via secure video or phone, making it easy to participate from wherever you are. This flexible format allows you to receive support without the stress of travel or scheduling challenges.
Leah’s coaching style is compassionate, supportive, and client-centered. She believes you are the expert in your own life and works alongside you to help you uncover insights, strengths, and solutions that feel authentic to you.

Coaching sessions are collaborative, encouraging, and focused on progress that feels achievable and meaningful.

Coaching is forward-focused and centered on personal growth, goals, and lifestyle changes. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions and is not a substitute for therapy or medical care.

While therapy often explores past experiences and healing, coaching focuses on where you are now and how you want to move forward.
